What a weekend at Hamptons Whodunit 2026! 

There’s nothing quite like parsing through cold cases, forensic science, and legal drama with historic East Hampton Village as the backdrop. Attending panel discussions with absolute legends like Jack Carr, Attica Locke, Lisa Unger, Kate White, Julie Clark, May Cobb, Charlie Donlea, David Ellis, Gregg Hurwitz, Alex Segura, Brendan Slocum, Sulari Gentil, and former NYC death investigator Barbara Butcher was truly a treat for any true crime fan. From the lively panels to the historic graveyard tours, the atmosphere was the perfect mix of cozy coastal vibes and gripping mystery. Co-founders Carrie Doyle, Jackie Dunphy, Mayor Jerry Larsen and Lisa Larsen have raised the standard for literary events, cultivating a world class roster of talent in an intimate setting that can’t be matched. We were lucky enough to attend a panel moderated by Carrie Doyle, herself a brilliant author who regaled the crowd with fantastic stories.

Kudos to the East Hampton public library and St. Luke's Hoie Hall for hosting these unforgettable events in their beautiful splendor, giving attendees the chance to take a short, scenic walk down the block to attend sessions at both locations, adding to the beautiful experience. BookHampton, the official bookseller for the festival, handled events on site as well as a Sunday morning author signing that was open to the public.
